Unrepresented Sports is delighted to announce that we will be the title sponsors of the Ratak Cup, the new futsal tournament organised by the Marshall Islands Football Association. Supporting this tournament is Unrepresented Sport’s first foray into sponsorship having previously announced our own tournament for Summer 2025.
Unrepresented Sports was founded to support the unrepresented through a variety of means and that includes providing direct support to the development of football in remote parts of the world like the Marshall Islands. The Ratak Cup which will include an adult and youth edition will take place on January 27th and February 3rd in the nation’s capital Majuro.
Unrepresented Sports is excited to be supporting the Marshall Islands FA for the first time and we hope to work with the Marshall Islands and other Pacific nations moving forward and grow our support of unrepresented sports in the region through our own events that will go on to benefit other parts of the world.
While we’d love to welcome the Marshall Islands or other nations from the region to the Independent Associations Cup the reality is these teams will likely not be able to attend next year due to the costs associated with their remote locations and the high fees associated even with inter-island travel making moving such a large number of people between the region and other parts of the world very difficult with the limited funding they receive but that does not prevent us from supporting them in developing the sport domestically in their countries and we hope this sponsorship of the Ratak Cup to be the first step in achieving this.
Stay tuned for further updates about the Unrepresented Sports Ratak Cup as we aim to share pictures and updates of the event through our social media and be sure to follow along with us.
